Interns

Lylia Eng

College Intern

A native New Yorker, Lylia is an upcoming sophomore at Dartmouth College, who is currently undeclared but is leaning towards a prospective major in the Engineering Sciences with a Studio Art modification. Outside of the classroom environment, she is passionate about social justice issues and service work. She hopes to someday combine these interests in her work. In her free time, Lylia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, eating good food, and wandering through the streets of New York City.

Raphaela Donahoe

High School Intern

Raphaela Donohoe is excited to join the CAST team as an intern this summer. Prior to CAST, she interned at Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation in the summer of 2016. She also works as a face painter and a ski instructor. As a student at Lick-Wilmerding High School and native of San Francisco, Raphaela loves exploring the city’s art scene. In her free time, she enjoys biking, skiing, making and selling her art, and spending time outdoors.

Smitha Ramakrishna

MBA Intern

Currently a Summer Associate at DRK Foundation and a MBA student at Harvard Business School, Smitha has a background in social enterprise, private equity, and public policy. Prior to HBS, she worked as an Associate for Cube Hydro Partners, a private equity renewable energy firm, and as a Legislative Fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives. She received an A.B. with Honors in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard College, where she conducted her senior thesis research on corporate water risk within the brewery industry. Her passion for water-related issues formed at a young age when she founded her first water non-profit at the age of 12. She has since spoken globally about her work at events such as the World Water Forum, Democratic National Convention, and United Nation’s Environmental Program conferences. Smitha enjoys spending her free time dancing, choreographing, and exploring the incredible arts and music scene in SF.
