The San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) is leveraging the services and the experience of the Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA) to connect artist and cultural workers to an array of Financial Capability services in San Francisco. The intention of this partnership is to connect the artist community with housing assistance programs, counseling, technical assistance via application support, financial capacity services, business development services and free tax preparation. For the first-time in years, SF is seeing 1000s of new units come online, so this is a great time to engage and throw your hat in the ring.
This work has opened the door for the Housing Opportunities Program at MEDA to explore dynamics specific to artists in the San Francisco housing market. MEDA continues to work to build trust within artist spaces and communities to establish a much-needed bridge between artists and existing institutional programs.
Come and learn what MEDA has to offer!
