THANK YOU and Warm Wishes from CAST

Dear Friends,

The winter equinox is the shortest day of our year. When the sun rises low on our horizon a little after 7am and dusk and night descend upon us all too quickly. A time when we cocoon, spend time with those we love, and reflect on the year gone by and the one to come.

You may be inundated with asks from your favorite charities and social enterprises. Filled with thanks and urgency to help them meet their end of the year budget goal! This is NOT one of those asks.

We want to take a moment and thank you. Thank you for sharing our vision of a world where the beauty of art and culture lives just around the corner…in our neighborhood and the places where we live.

We want to celebrate with you this year’s accomplishments: our work at home in San Francisco and Oakland and our influence afar.

  • The two arts partners in our first real estate project, CounterPulse and Luggage Store Gallery, served more than 95,000 people in 2018 through their exciting performances and exhibitions.
  • CAST shared its vision and work at the 2018 World Cities Culture conference, where 90+ cultural leaders from 30+ cities met from around the world. We were featured as a creative placekeeping model among colleagues from Stockholm, Sydney, Lisbon, Toronto, Amsterdam, and Tokyo.
  • The City of London plans a 2019 launch of its Creative Land Trust, a social investment fund for artists to acquire workspace, modeled on CAST.

We couldn’t be here without you. Thank you for your important role in supporting CAST.

Until we are in touch in the new year, warmest wishes for a joyous holiday season.

Moy
