FREE RSVPCalling all Oakland artists, cultural workers, and arts organizations! Come engage in a dialogue and share your love for Oakland!
What does keeping creative space mean to you?
What do you need to create your work and live fully in Oakland?
For many of us, the pandemic has shifted the way we show up and navigate within our communities, organizations, neighborhoods, and cities…heck! The World!
CAST is in the process of reevaluating how we engage with the Oakland community and we want to hear from you––Oakland artists, cultural workers, and arts organizations––your projects, priorities, concerns, and dreams. Let’s build upon our work together over the past five years and co-create what comes next.
For those new to CAST, we are a community-centered real estate organization committed to ensuring artists and cultural workers stay anchored where they create. We work in deep partnership with communities across the San Francisco Bay Area, particularly communities of color that have endured systemic oppression and historical underinvestment.
Listening Session #2: Thursday, June 29
Listening Session: 3-5pm
Location: Studio 17, Oakstop – 1721 Broadway, Oakland
*Please note: You must register for the listening sessions. Capacity is limited to 20 people per session. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
Can’t make it to the listening sessions in June?
That’s OK! More virtual and Oakland-based listening sessions will be announced this summer. Subscribe to the CAST newsletter for updates here.
We look forward to reconnecting with you Oakland and celebrating our new Oakstop partnership with you! Learn more about the Oakstop x CAST project.
