Wishes of Welcome for Lunar New Year | 447 Minna

A Bold Beginning

Lunar New Year marks a new beginning at 447 Minna, and as is custom, we’re celebrating by inviting our extended family (you!) into our home.

That this move falls on the Year of the Tiger is particularly meaningful for us. A symbol of bold courage and adventure, the tiger is emblematic of what we hope 447 Minna will embody as a dedicated cultural center in SoMa.

Click our Lunar New Year book below to see how CAST’s vision for the building connects to this auspicious time. We share our personal traditions along with new details about our arts partners, Women’s Audio Mission and PUSH Dance, joining us at 447 Minna!

Sharing love for SoMa

Throughout February and March, CAST is holding a series of Virtual Listening Sessions and Open Houses. Come share your love for SoMa and engage in a dialogue around the type of events and space uses you’d like to see at 447 Minna. Your voices, ideas, and interests are our priority!

As part of this continuing engagement effort, CAST has been going door-to-door, distributing our community outreach letter throughout the surrounding blocks. It’s been a great chance to get to know our neighbors and we look forward to setting up more one-on-ones and deepening those connections.

COVID-19 PROTOCOL

In accordance with San Francisco’s city health ordinance, we are requiring proof of full vaccination and a photo ID at the door. Face coverings are required when not eating or drinking.

We hope that 447 Minna will help maintain and amplify the rich character that SoMa has had for the last several decades, providing a place for creatives, cultural workers, local residents, and businesses to connect and share resources through arts and culture.

To learn more about touring the space, event rental options, or the building itself, please visit our official 447 Minna website.

We can’t wait to meet you.
